anal herpes

Anal herpes is an appearance of herpes simplex virus symptoms in the rectal area. Anal herpes can be spread through intercourse specific to the rectal area, but can also be an extension of a standard genital herpes infection. Most forms of genital herpes are caused by herpes simplex 2, thus anal herpes is also most likely to be caused by herpes simplex 2. Anal herpes is not an especially common condition, but it can and does occur. Anal herpes does not represent a serious threat to one's health, though it may cause some form of blockage.
