Herpes signs, or signs of a herpes infection, vary and are not universal. Many people with herpes don't show any signs of infection at all. When herpes signs do appear, they often present as discomfort in the herpes affected region, followed by an outbreak of blisters that will eventually clear on their own. When blistering from a herpes infection takes place, it will remain in one specific area, where infection took place, and will not move about the body. Rather than use the inconsistent appearance of herpes signs as proof of a herpes infection, a better method to gauge the presence of herpes is to undergo some form of specific herpes testing.
